What if it Were Easy?

There is a lot to focus on that is negative right now.

These are uncertain, unsettling times.

And when you pair that reality with your brain’s natural tendency to fixate on the negative, it’s no wonder if you’re feeling overwhelmed.

Have you noticed?

I have.

Lately, my brain has been on a loop, dwelling on:

  • What’s hard

  • What’s uncomfortable

  • What’s not working

  • What I’m afraid of

The problem? Unchecked negative thoughts don’t just make you feel bad—they actively block you from the life you want.

They can:

  • Reduce decision-making, motivation, and follow-through

  • Increase self-doubt, overwhelm, and lethargy

Your brain evolved to focus on threats to keep you safe. But in today’s world, a mind full of negativity makes everything harder—your goals, your happiness, your confidence.

So what do you do?

First, start noticing your thoughts. Pay attention to how often they skew negative.

Then, ask yourself a question your brain probably isn’t considering:

How could this be EASY?

And don’t just ask it once—ask it all day.

  • Don’t want to work out? How could it be easy? (I’ll take a five-minute walk.)

  • No time for a healthy meal? How could it be easy? (I’ll grab a hard-boiled egg and avocado.)

  • To-do list a mile long? How could it be easy? (I’ll tackle five quick tasks, then batch the rest.)

  • Major project at work? How could it be easy? (I’ll outline the steps and do the first one today.)

  • Challenging relationship? How could it be easy? (I’ll focus only on what I enjoy about this person.)

Your brain already knows how things are hard. Show it another way.

Because things COULD get easier.

And you can train your brain HOW.

Try it. See what shifts.

Let me know what happens.
